The Smoke Screen Bomb blinded its victims hereby breaking their line of sight. It could be crafted using any shell or gunpowder type combined with the phosphorus effect. It could also be obtained by looting Varangian corpses.
A highly effective bomb, both at breaking pursuit and disabling any guards within its radius without risking civilian casualties, it did not, however, last for very long making the guards outside its radius, while still unable to pass through, capable of attacking. Also, it obscured Ezio's vision, which forced him to activate Eagle Sense in order to "see" inside the cloud.
Assassin apprentices could also equip themselves with these.
