History
Originally belonging to Lancelot of the Knights of the Round Table, this sword was gifted to his fellow knight, Sir Gareth, who used it to kill the Black Knight.
By the late 9th century, the sword had come into the possessions of a group of monks at Ferrières, who bestowed it upon their hired champion for protection against the Viking raiders.[2] During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan learned of these so-called Champions of the Faith from Vagn and traveled to face them, including the Rhine Champion. After defeating the champion, Eivor claimed the sword for herself.
