Argus Bartlett (unknown – 1868) was a British Templar in the nineteenth century. He and Rose owned the Bed and Bottle, a pub and resthouse in the Strand, London.
They often advertised their services publicly, trying to convince customers to come to their establishment. Behind the scenes, however, the Bed and Bottle was used to dispose of enemies of the Templar Order, and several missing persons cases could be traced back to them.
In 1868, the twins Jacob and Evie Frye, following a lead provided by Henry Green, located the duo and assassinated them to put an end to their operation, and weaken the Templar hold over the city.
