For the multiplayer character, see Noble.
- "Silvestro Sabbatini. Claims to be noble. Dresses the part, but poorly. He is a panderer, buying his way into social circles. Speaking with a black tongue."
- ―A description given by Fiora Cavazza.
Silvestro Sabbatini was a Templar agent, loyal only to Cesare Borgia, during the Renaissance in Rome. Though he claimed to be a noble, Silvestro was an infamous panderer, using any means necessary to ascend the social ladder. After drawing the attention of Ezio Auditore for human trafficking, he was assassinated by one the his apprentices in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Some time between 1502 and 1503, Ezio Auditore noticed a distressed young boy, crying on a dock. Ezio then ordered one of his apprentices to assassinate Silvestro, before defeating the remaining guards and freeing the slaves.
Dialogue of Sabbatini's demise
Frightened Child
- Ezio: Bambino (little man), why do you cry?
- Boy: They're going to take my mamma on a boat ride. They say I will go on the next one.
- Ezio: Who?
- Boy: A man from the castle came with guards and arrested us. He scared me.
- Ezio: They are scary. But you look very brave.
- Boy: Will you bring my mamma back?
- Ezio: Where did they take your mother?
- Boy: Down that street.
- Ezio: Good. Do you have a place to go for now?
- Boy: My uncle's.
- Ezio: Go there. Do not stop to talk anyone!
The boy runs off to his uncle's place.
Stalking Silvestro
Ezio locates Silvestro and follows him to Colle Palatino, where he has been keeping his slaves captive.
- Silvestro: We must ensure the kidnappings continue.
- Valencia: But children, Silvestro.
- Silvestro: To secure his reign, Cesare needs to control the populace. Fear keeps them quiet.
- Valencia: I can hardly look at you.
- Silvestro: Please, Valencia. Soon all this will be behind us.
- Valencia: Are you afraid of him?
- Silvestro: Who? I am afraid of no one.
- Valencia: Did he do that to your hand? My apologies; that was out of line.
- Silvestro: Please go.
- Valencia: I am sorry.
Valencia leaves the area.
- Silvestro: I will have her killed. No, I will kill her myself. The puttana (whore)! How dare she speak of my hand? Ignorant fool, she has never served a higher cause.
One of Ezio's apprentices assassinates Silvestro Sabbatini.
- Ezio: Requiescat in pace. (Rest in peace.)
Project Legacy
Silvestro's left arm was removed when he failed Cesare Borgia, though the events surrounding his failure are unknown. His prosthetic arm was given to him by Fiora Cavazza, as a second chance from Cesare. Cavazza describes him as "The spider", and notes how he makes her feel uneasy. It is apparent that Sabbatini was a man obsessed with cosmetics, as Fiora observes his disappointment at the lack of jewelery and rare metals incorporated in his replacement arm despite its masterful design.
