The Shroud was a type of hood used during the 5th century BCE. Simple in its construction, it still fulfilled the function of every hood: offered shelter from the elements and attention.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this hood in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]
