Shipwreck of Ajax

The Shipwreck of Ajax was a shipwreck off the northern coast of Mykonos, Greece. It was allegedly the site where laid the remains of the ship belonging to the Lokrian Ajax, the son of King Oileus of Lokris in Greek mythology.

The site was also where the Spartan fleet fell into a trap set up by the Cult of Kosmos,[1] sinking the three ships bearing Spartan forces, including Thaletas.[2]

During the Peloponnesian War the site was explored by the misthios Kassandra. While exploring the wreck, she also recovered the heirloom helmet of Thaletas.[2]
