Shipwreck of Ajax

The Shipwreck of Ajax was a shipwreck off the northern coast of Mykonos, Greece. It was allegedly the remains of the ship belonging to Ajax the Lesser, the son of King Oileus of Lokris in Greek mythology.

The site was also where the ship bearing Spartan forces, including Thaletas, was sunk.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War the site was explored by the misthios Kassandra. While exploring the wreck, she also recovered the heirloom helmet of Thaletas.[2]
