Shani the Gifted (died c. 420s BCE) was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.[1]

Biography

Having grown up in Pagai, Shani was smarter than anyone else around him.  In spite of doing their best to educate him, Shani's parents had quickly used up all their money and were soon deep in debt.  As a man, Shani vowed to repay his parents for all they had done for him, and chose to become a mercenary.

During the war, he crossed paths with Spartan misthios Kassandra.
