A view of the Scarred Mountain of Pentelikos

The Scarred Mountain of Pentelikos, or simply Mt. Pentelikos is a mountain in northern Attika, Greece.

In the 5th century BCE, it was notable for containing a marble quarry in the south and a lion den in the north, as well as a village. During the Peloponnesian War, the mountain was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
