Sappho School was a school established by the poet Sappho in Mytilene on the Greek island of Lesbos.
During her lifetime, Sappho served as the headmistress of the school, teaching young girls the art of poetry. By the 5th century BCE, the school was still in operation and was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
The Sappho School was also used by a scholar as her workshop while she claimed to be making an elixir to help the petrified people within the Petrified Valley.[2]
