The Sanctuary of Athena was a sanctuary in western Megara in Megaris, Greece, which housed several shrines and temples dedicated to Athena, the Greek goddess of warfare and wisdom. Among the temples was also the Tomb of Alkathous, which served as a tomb for the son of Pelops.
During the Peloponnesian War, the sanctuary was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
