Arachne's Stingers

Arachne's Stingers were a pair of legendary short blades inspired by Arachne, a woman who was turned into a spider by the goddess Athena in Greek mythology. The blades were imbued with poison, making them dangerous to both their wielder and their target.

During the 5th century BCE, the blades were in the possession of a mercenary operating in Greece. During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra encountered and eliminated the mercenary, claiming the blades for herself.[1]
