At the end of Allende's tenure as President, the Templars wanted to create a dependent working class in Chile, but Allende's popularity and the communist governement opposed this plan. The Templars organized a military coup to overthrow him and install a Templar-controlled military junta in Chile, with their puppet, general Augusto Pinochet, as the dictator of Chile. Masterminded by Henry Kissinger, the coup proved successful, and Allende was killed during the plot.
