imported>Soranin Black Flag uses "El Salvador" and "Salvador", but considering this city was never called "el salvador" (specially because 'el' is spanish and the city was established by portuguese), i've decided to use the correct name. |

Salvador, originally São Salvador da Bahia de Todos os Santos, is the capital city of the State of Bahia in Brazil. It was the capital of Brazil from 1549 to 1763, when Rio de Janeiro became the capital.
History
In the early 18th century, Salvador was thriving with many Europeans arrivals eager to make a living in the Americas,[1] a major financial center in its lower city, and its port with swarming markets.[2] The Welsh pirate Edward Kenway, seeing Salvador as one of the best places to meet traders and earn quick money,[3] shipped wine, cocoa pods,[1] rice,[2] and plenty of tobacco to the city.[3]
