Saint Anne's Church was a Christian church located in the rich district of Jerusalem. It was constructed by the Crusaders atop of a grotto they believed to be the birthplace of Jesus' grandmother, Anne. It was the only Crusader church which was not destroyed by the Mamelukes in the twelfth century but instead was converted into an Islamic seminary.
