The Rusty Machete was a machete in poor condition which was used by Adéwalé in 1735. He found it on the beaches of Port-au-Prince after being washed ashore from a storm that wrecked his ship. The Haitian Assassin was then on a mission to investigate Bastienne Josèphe, the recipient of a Templar parcel he had intercepted. He immediately put the machete to good use by killing an overseer who was abusing a female slave, from whom he received a clue to finding Bastienne.[1]
