In 1721, he visited [[Kingston]] to attend a banquet organized by the former governor [[Woodes Rogers]] before his return to [[United Kingdom|England]]. However, Ruggiero was killed by the [[Piracy|pirate]] [[Edward Kenway]], who assumed his identity in order to infiltrate the party in an attempt to assassinate Rogers.
 
Not much is known about Ruggiero, other than the fact that he was born in [[Italy]] and eventually achieved {{Wiki|Diplomat|diplomatic}} status to the city of [[Kingston]], in [[Jamaica]]. He had a low opinion of the city, claiming that there was "no passion" in the architecture and culture.
 
He was also bigoted towards the [[British Empire|British]], taunting the [[British Army|soldiers]] guarding him by claiming that Italy would always be the epitome of culture, while the British would continue to fool themselves into thinking that they would become leaders of the world.
 
In 1718, Ruggiero's name appeared in a list of Templar bureaucrats. [[Assassins|Assassin]] bureau leader [[Antó]] attempted to locate him to no avail. He was not heard of again until 1721, when he was invited to [[Woodes Rogers]]' banquet in Kingston. Needing a disguise assassinate Rogers, [[Edward Kenway]] was tasked by Antó to kill him and steal his {{Wiki|diplomatic uniform}}. Kenway did so, effectively ending another Templar life.
