Roxana was a Korinthian hetaera in the 5th century BCE.
Biography
Working under Anthousa, Roxana followed with dread the rise of the Monger, his power spreading in Korinth. Like her 'sisters', Roxana as well tried to avoid the thug, but she was caught along with Erinna, another hetaera.[1]
Taken to warehouse of the Monger to await their fates, Roxana and Erinna were freed by the fortunate arrival of the Spartan misthios Kassandra and the Spartan general Brasidas. Once freed, Roxana and Erinna helped Kassandra and Brasidas kill the Monger.[1]
Behind the scenes
Roxana is a character who only appears in the novel, though her namesake does play a part in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.
