The Rostam Dagger was an ornate throwing knife later repurposed as a dagger named for the legendary hero Rostam.
In the 860s, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq received the knife as a thanks for escorting a poet out of Baghdad.[1] After receiving upgrade schematics as rewards for stealing medicine samples for a botanist[2] and rescuing a dancer,[3] Basim later refined the weapon with the help of local blacksmiths.[4]
