Queen Anne's Revenge was a frigate built in England in 1710. Originally a slave ship named the Concord, she was captured by Captain Benjamin Hornigold in 1717 near Martinique. Soon after, Hornigold turned her over to his first mate Edward Thatch. Thatch, later known as the pirate Blackbeard, used it as his flagship in the year 1718.
