Ezio approaches Piramide Cestia

The Piramide Cestia (English: Pyramid of Cestius) is one of the locations of Rome featuring in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Next to the Pyramid is the entrance to the Catacombe di Roma, a Lair of Romulus.

History

Inspired by the Egyptian Pyramids, the Piramide Cestia was built in 18 BC - 12 BC as a tomb for Cauis Cestius, a magistrate and member of one of the four great religious corporations at Rome.

Trivia

  • The Pyramid can be bought as a Landmark by Ezio, and it counts towards the rebuilding of Rome.
  • It is steeper than the Pyramids of Giza, as its construction plans were based on incorrect drawings of the Great Pyramids.
  • The Pyramid can be bought as a territory in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy.
