Kassandra wielding the Pride of the Lion

The Pride of the Lion was an aged, ornate sword that was once awarded to highly-decorated soldiers of the Achaemenid Empire.

Around 429 BCE, the blade was obtained by the Spartan misthios Kassandra after her introductory fight with Darius.[1]
