The Pride of the Lion was an aged, ornate sword that was once awarded to highly-decorated soldiers of the Achaemenid Empire.
Around 429 BCE, the blade was obtained by the Spartan misthios Kassandra after her introductory fight with Darius.[1]

- Despite the name, the sword's crossguard and pommel are decorated with the heads of wild boars.
