Pope Saint Pius V (17 January 1504 – 1 May 1572), born Antonio Ghislieri and called Michele Ghislieri, O.P. from 1518, was Pope from 1566 to his death.
Pius V was one of the many powerful European individuals with whom Italian Dominican friar Giordano Bruno gained favor.
