Biography
Reign as lord
Pino was a member of the Ordelaffi family, who took power over Forlì at the end of the 13th century, when it had become a military dictatorship.[1] The rampant brutality and violence in the city culminated in the reign of Pino.[2] Taking power after murdering his brother, Pino was a great patron of the arts, and also ordered the construction of the Rocca di Ravaldino by Giorgio Marchesi Fiorentino in 1471.[3][4]
He would kill his first wife, his mother, as well as his second wife, before being murdered himself by his third wife.[2] With the Ordelaffi fighting amongst themselves, Girolamo Riario was able to became lord of Forlì.[1][5]
Legacy
In a 2012 Animus 2.0 Database entry on the Rocca di Ravaldino, written by Shaun Hastings, included its commissioning by Pino III.[3] Another regarding the city of Forlì and his family's fall from grace was also written.[1] The entry for the Rocca di Ravaldino was later included in Abstergo Entertainment's Database entry,[4] as well as the entry for Forlì in 2014 for the Identity Project.[5]
