Antonio Pucci (c. 1310 – 1388) was a Florentine poet during the Renaissance.
During his lifetime, he wrote a poem describing the Mercato Vecchio: “Physicians dwelt around for every ill, And here were linen cloths, and flax merchants, pork vendors, and apothecaries.”[1]
