Antonio Giustinian was a Venetian ambassador to the Borgia court.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Giustinian once pushed Rodrigo Borgia too far and he lost his temper. As an apology, Rodrigo has arranged a dinner between Antonio and a lady of the court. Suspecting foul play, Assassin Francesco Vecellio went in Giustinian's stead. Vecellio and his allies foiled the assassination attempt and warned Giustinian to keep his guard up. Giustinian assured the Assassins he would continue to cause trouble in Borgia's court as long as they protected him from retaliation.[1]
