Philip Shahbaz is an American actor, most known for his role in voicing the character of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in Assassin's Creed. The son of an Arab mother and an Iranian-American father, Shahbaz has studied drama and taken classes for six years. Of these years, three of them were dedicated to studying acting, with the following three years pursuing voice-acting drama classes.
Besides voicing Altaïr throughout the first installment, Shahbaz has also played minor roles in TV shows, such as 24, Californication, and Weapons of Mass Destruction.

- The name Shahbaz is of Iranian origin, meaning "royal falcon" or "king of falcons." In mythology, Shahbaz was a bird allegedly larger than falcons or hawks, living in the famous mountains of Iran.
