"Voicing Altaïr isn't an easy job, and I give whatever I can so he can look and be heard as realistic"
―Philip Shahbaz

Philip Shahbaz (born on October 16, 1976 in Los Angeles, California, United States) is an American actor. He is known for playing the role of Altaïr in Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed Revelations. He is the son of an Arab mother and an Iranian-American father. He has studied drama and taken classes for 6 years. Three years of his study were dedicated to being an actor, and the other three years were dedicated to a voice-acting drama class.

Besides playing as Altaïr, he has also played little roles in TV-shows, such as, 24, Californication, and Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Trivia

  • The name Shahbaz is of Iranian/Persian Origin. Shahbaz is an Iranian Eagle (Shah=King, Baz=Open Wings) living in the famous mountains of Iran. Persians used this bird specially for moving important news and letters throughout the empire, quite similar to Altaïr's name.
  • He is the only voice actor who has played Altaïr more than once.
