It was first setteld in the 18th century by the French who built an outpost there. In the mid-18th century however, the settlement was captured by the British with the help of a Templar named Shay Cormac. Shay was believed to have also stopped an assassin attack on a local buissnessman in Perce. There was also a tavern located in the town along with a general store and a small harbour.
