The Officer's Pistol was an 18th century double-barrel pistol which, at the time of the French Revolution, boasted greater firepower than average flintlock pistols and was issued to military officers.
Description
The Officer's Pistol was one of many models of double-barrel pistols which sought to solve the single shot limitation of flintlock pistols by incorporating an additional barrel. Accordingly, the Officer's Pistol could fire two shots before reloading. While not an overall powerful pistol compared to other contemporary models, it was nevertheless superior to average flintlock pistols.[1]
History
During the French Revolution, the Officer's Pistol was common throughout Paris and was serviced to officers of the French Army. The French Assassin Arno Dorian also used the pistol.[1]

Behind the scenes
Although its description states that it is a "better-than-average pistol", the Officer's Pistol is inferior in stats to all other pistols in Assassin's Creed: Unity aside from the default pistol.
