An animus host[1] is the simulated individual who an Animus user, called an Animus Subject if officially part of Abstergo Industries' Animus Project, is embodying. Earlier versions of the Animus required the user to be a descendant of the host,[2] however as technology progressed that requirement was no longer a factor.[3]
