"I made some improvements to the Animus and I've also patched in a new VR Training program. Here you can show off all those flashy moves you've picked up from your ancestors."
―Rebecca Crane to Desmond Miles.[src]

The Animus Virtual Training Program was a feature incorporated into the Animus 2.0 by Rebecca Crane. It served as a series of tutorial missions for Desmond Miles, in order to improve his skills in open combat, freerunning, and assassinations.

Trivia

  • The Animus Virtual Training Program was reminiscent of the tutorial session from the original Assassin's Creed.
  • Completing all exercises in the Animus Virtual Training Program with at least a bronze medal unlocked a cosmetic outfit in Brotherhood, being the Raiden Skin from the Metal Gear Solid series.
  • In the Animus Virtual Training Program, only the Poison Blade and throwing knife belt were visible.
  • In Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, an Animus Virtual Training Program was used to guide Desmond through the new features in the game. Like the Training Program in Brotherhood, it had challenges for Desmond to complete.
