North America is a continent comprising the northern peninsula of the Americas and the Caribbean, bordered to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, to the southeast by South America and the Caribbean Sea and to the south and west by the Pacific Ocean.
North America was originally home to numerous indigenous civilizations and tribes, notably the Mayans and Aztecs in North America's most southern country of Mexico.[1] In 1398, a Templar expedition led by Henry Sinclair and James Gunn led to their discovery of North America, and they kept it a secret for the next century.[2]
After the rediscovery of the Americas by European explorers during the late 15th century, European settlers started colonizing the region and exterminating the dominance of the indigenous societies.[3]
