Niamh of Argyll[1] was a Celtic witch-warrior and member of the Hidden Ones who lived in Mercia during the late 9th century.[2]

Biography

As a witch-warrior, Niamh defended her people from Viking raiders during the Viking expansion. In 878, Niamh learned of the Hidden Ones and their attempt at establishing a foothold in Lunden. Determined to protect what remained of her homeland, she infiltrated them, becoming a Hidden One herself. At one point, she learned the Hidden Ones had stolen an artifact sacred to her people and she cast aside alliances and friendships with them.[2]

Personality and traits

Niamh had dark auburn hair which she plaited and held back with an orange ribbon. She wore the garb of her people and a leather pouch at her hip.[1] She wore a tattoo on her upper forearm, a symbol of her faith in Avalon.[3]

Equipment and skills

Being a member of the Women of the Mist, Niamh was able to decipher their coded messages with little difficulty.[1]
