Naxian Sphinx

The Naxian Sphinx is a marble statue of a Sphinx in Delphi, Phokis, Greece, situated southeast of the Temple of Apollo.

It was consecrated by the Naxians as a votive in memory of their privilege to consult with the Pythia before the others.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the statue was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
