Mycenae

Mycenae was an ancient city situated northeast of Argos in Argolis, Greece, best known for being the home of King Agamemnon.

One of the oldest cities in Greece dating from the 3rd millenium BCE, it's walls were said to be the work of the Cyclops. The city as later abandoned in the 5th century BCE though it was later occupied by a group of bandits.[1]

Agamemnon's tomb was also connected to and situated nearby, which was explored by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
