Morocco is a country in the western part of North Africa, historically a part of the Maghreb.[1] It borders the nation of Algeria.
During the Renaissance, craftsman and engineer Faris al-Saffar left Morocco for Granada to sell his tools and devices to the nobles of the city.[2] Around the same time, Alif was kidnapped from a small coast village in Morocco by a group of pirates and put to work as a cabin boy.[3]
