The Military Fort of Gla was built on top of the ruins of a Mycenaen-era fortified city located on an island in Lake Kopais in Boeotia, Greece. Surrounded by a Cyclopean wall, the city featured a drainage system which emptied and filled the lake to irrigate the plain in the region.

During the Peloponnesian War the fort was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who was in pursuit of a Boeotian champion.[1]
