- ―Miko regarding his fear of Haytham, 1751.[src]
Miko (unknown – 1754) was a member of the British Brotherhood of Assassins, and the holder of the Grand Temple Key.
At some point, he became acquainted with Achilles Davenport, the Mentor of the Colonial Brotherhood.
In 1751, Miko wrote to Achilles, stating that while he was generally impressed at the development of the newly established Brotherhood, he repeatedly warned Achilles of the impending threat that the British Rite of the Templar Order held. Noting that Reginald Birch had scouted all around the world in search for the Precursor artifacts whom he then believed would eventually turn his attention towards the British Colonies and that he would no doubt send his most deadliest agent, Haytham Kenway. He informed Achilles of his next mission in Corsica which he prepared for but not before promising to contact him as soon as he could.[1]
To his misfortune, Miko encountered the aforementioned Master Templar in Corsica during 1753, while on assignment to guard the code-breaker Lucio. Haytham took Lucio and the Assassin's Hidden Blade from Miko, after Miko disarmed Haytham and lost Haytham's heirloom sword. The Templar and the Assassin parted ways there, but it would not be the last time they met. Although Haytham spared Miko's life, he had promised that on the next time they met, one of them would kill the other.[2]
In 1754, Miko attended a performance of The Beggar's Opera in the Theatre Royal, accompanied by his young nephew Duncan Little; Haytham, keeping true to his word, assassinated Miko with the same Hidden Blade he acquired after their previous encounter and managed to obtain the Grand Temple Key which was in his possession.[3]
Trivia
- Miko was the uncle of Duncan Little, who would later be recruited into the Assassin Order by Haytham's son, Ratonhnhaké:ton.
