"The Mentor" (d. 2000) was the Grand Master of the Assassin Order during the latter part of the 20th Century. Though he was regarded by some in the Order as a made up legend, the Mentor was quite real; in 1998 he had arranged to rig an upcoming election to prevent the Templar backed candidate from winning.[1]

Two years later, the Mentor personally inducted Daniel Cross into the Order, commenting on his value and uniqueness. As soon as he handed Cross his hidden blade, he was stabbed and killed with it.[2]
