"Charles de la Motte supports his unprecedented ego with an unmatched blade...or so he claims."
―Ubisoft Description
The Marquis, as he appears in Multiplayer

The Marquis (real name: Charles de la Motte) is a multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. This character is available with the downloadable content, The Da Vinci Disappearance. He appears to wield a sabre.

Unique Moves

Role Reversal (Low Profile, Front)

The Marquis rapidly slashes his target across the chest downwards, moving along with his blade, before bringing his sword around for another attack, sending his victim flipping backwards to their death.

The High-Class Impact (High Profile, Front)

The Marquis runs to his target, chopping down rapidly into their shoulder. With the momentum, it forces his victim to their knees, so he takes the opportunity to free his blade by brutally kneeing them in the face, after holding them down with his free hand on their shoulder.

Deadly Riposte (Low Profile, Back)

The Marquis approaches his target from behind before brutally wedging his sword in the back of their neck. He then frees his sabre by easing his dead victim's head off of his sword by pushing them from the end of the blade with his hand.

The Grim Spin (High Profile, Back)

The Marquis runs to his victim and spins around, chopping his target in the neck, severing their spine. He then kicks his victim's feet from under them as he frees his blade.

Forcefully Dethroned (Bench Kill)

The Marquis draws his sabre and slashes his target across the torso, before holding their shoulder and forcefully stabbing his victim in the chest. He impales his victim half way to the blade's hilt, before withdrawing his sword and storing it back into its scabbard. The point of the blade can be seen, visible from out of his victim's back, before he brutally pulls it free.

Au Revoir (Aerial Kill)

The Marquis leaps from a rooftop and lands his target, forcing them to the ground. He then unsheathes his sabre and plunges it into his victim's neck, killing them instantly, before withdrawing it from their dead body and replacing it in its scabbard as he stands up.
