The Marquis, as he appears in Multiplayer

The Marquis (real name: Charles de la Motte) is a multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. This character is available along with the downloadable content The Da Vinci Disappearance. He appears to wield a sabre.

Unique Moves

Dodge and Hit (High Profile)

The Marquis runs up to his target and does a swift downward slash while the target dodges, a second after the Marquis commits an unexpected upward slash which results in the victom flipping backwards to their death.

Colors:

• Basic: Blue
• Extra 1: Red
• Extra 2: Yellow/Gold
• Extra 3: Black

Gear:

• Advanced: Longer jacket
• Superior: Altered spaulders, additional armor on boots
• Elite: Added cravat

• "Marquis" is the French denomination for Marquess, a European title of nobility.
• The Marquis is confirmed as French, as in Project Legacy, Charles de la Motte challenges Cesare Borgia's Italian troops with his own French troops to a tournament to see which side is more chivalrous.
• He is the first multiplayer character that was featured on Project Legacy before being playable in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
