Mark Lehner (born 1950) is an American archaeologist.

Biography

In 1991, Lehner and his team, who specialize in the study and survey of the Giza plateau, mapped the Great Sphinx of Giza.[1] The mapping made it possible to see the materials used to construct the Sphinx, analyze the different layers of erosion and figure out the most fragile areas to protect.[2]
