Manuel I (31 May 1469 – 13 December 1521) was the 14th King of Portugal.
King Manuel worked with the Templars. He supported Portuguese voyages to India with the pretext that they were there only to find spices, but in reality it was to find Assassin strongholds. In 1503, he sent Pedro Álvares Cabral's fleet to Calicut to ferret out the local Assassin Guild.
