The Mallet of Everlasting Flame was a legendary warhammer obtained by the Spartan misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War

During the 5th century BCE, it ended up in the hands of a Greek mercenary under the suffix 'the Smoldering.'  Kassandra defeated the mercenary and claimed the weapon for herself.[1]
