[[Loki]] was a trickster; it was hard to know whose side he was on. Each drop would burn his flesh, bringing Loki terrible pain. Fortunately for him, his wife, [[Sigyn]], vowed to stay besides him, placing a bowl between the serpent's maw and her lover's face to collect the poison and stop it from freaching him... until she had to empty the bowl, leaving him temporarily unprotected. He would gladly help the gods and goddesses in their quests, but his undeniable appetite for trickery would always win out, pushing him to betray them.
