Kvasir was a god and one of the most intelligent and knowledgeable creatures in Norse mythology.

Mythology[edit | edit source]

Kvasir travelled much, sharing his wisdom with those who needed it, until one day two dwarves, Fjalar and Galar, decided to keep his knowledge for themselves. They killed Kvasir to steal his wisdom, bleeding him dry. They then mixed his blood with honey to create the very first mead, a magical potion able to bestow the power of skaldship, the so-called "Mead of poetry".[1]
