Kastalian Fountain

The Kastalian Fountain is a small spring located near the Sanctuary of Delphi in the slopes of Grand Mount Parnassos in Phokis, Greece. Pilgrims, the Pythia, and priests alike were required to cleanse themselves at the fountain before consulting the oracle.

During the Peloponnesian War the spring was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
