La Maupin (1673 – 1707) was a renowned epeist and singer who became a member of the French Brotherhood of the Assassins.

At some point before the French Revolution, Louis-Joseph d'Albert de Luynes and three other Assassins were sent by their Mentor to recruit La Maupin, but due to d'Albert's misogynistic comments they failed. La Maupin attacked the Assassins, defeating them and injuring D'Albret's shoulder. The Assassins made their report with the Master Assassin Maréchal, with d'Albret stating that she had no potential as an Assassin.

Despite the first failed attempt, the Brotherhood succesfully recruited La Maupin, and Maréchal personally trained her to hone her acting skills.
