Amasya is a city in northern Turkey.[1]
History
In 1509, the Byzantine Templars' Grand Master Prince Ahmet and his fellow Templar Hasan Pasha stayed at his palace in the city after hearing about Ahmet's brother Selim defeating a company of Templars at Trebizond. Having recently received an invitation to a meeting, Ahmet told Hasan that he anticipated seeing his intended host Manuel Palaiologos, who claimed responsibility for the surge of mercenaries arriving in Constantinople as being his own Templars. Ahmet recollected to Pasha about how his uncle Cem believed the Empire could be run by Templars, similar to what Palaiologos had proposed in his invitation. Wary of the Assassins' growing presence, Ahmet told Pasha to set up the meeting.[2]
